What inspires you?My family. Their belief in me and constant support with everything I want to do keeps me going. Also, seeing how far I’ve come already keeps the fire burning inside of me.

What is your biggest fear?My biggest fear is not tapping into my full true potential. It’s not that I’m afraid of failure, failure is part of the process. It’s failing to not take the right risks and making the necessary sacrifices to get to my goal.

Where are you from/born/grew up?I was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago.

What is you go-to cheat meal?A juicy burger with fries is my go-to! Chocolate cheese cake is also my favorite dessert.

How tall are you?5ft short

How much do you weigh?Always changing. My offseason weight (building phase): 140-150lbs Stage weight: 120-125lbs

What’s your favorite muscle to train?I know you probably thought it was glutes! But that’s a close second place to back day. I love a good upper body day the most.

What are your top leg/glute exercisesMy holy grails are sumo deadlifts and hip thrusts!

How much cardio do you do?It depends on my goal. I usually stick to 30-45mins post workout 3-4 times per week. On prep for a show I do 60-120 minutes every day.

My favorite healthy snacksAre protein pancakes considered a snack? Because I live for it. I love salted almonds and plain non-fat Greek yogurt with strawberries!

Should I work out every day? or How often should I train?Rest is very important to achieve any goal. 3-5 days per week is sufficient!

Does the scale matter?No! The scale does not account for what’s muscle, fat, bones, water etc. As women we will always fluctuate. Also, keep in mind muscle is more dense than fat.

Will weights make me manly?Impossible. Weights get you the desired shape you want. Women do not biologically have enough testosterone naturally to become manly.

Weight training or cardio for fat loss?A combination of both!

How to track calories/macros?I use an app called MyFitnessPal to track everything I eat. Feel free to download any app that allows you to do so.

How long will it take for me to see results?This varies from person to person. On average, 3 months is a great indicator of progress.

What’s the best way to help sore muscles?Giving your muscles proper rest for recovery. Stretching post-workout Reduce inflammation by icing muscles / Stimulating blood flow by applying heat. If all else does not work, OCT pain/muscle relaxers.

What is the best time of day to work out?You can train any time of day. This only depends on your daily schedule.

Will fat make me fat?Absolutely not. This is a common misconception. Healthy fats should be included into your diet.

Are carbs bad for me?No. There are healthy complex carb sources that are amazing for building muscles and losing fat.
